---- — Ham and beef shoot at Ruritan

The Montgomery Ruritan Club will be sponsoring a ham and beef shooting match Sunday beginning at 12:15 p.m. with a closed beef match at 2:30 p.m. Prizes will include ham, beef and other cuts of pork as prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Montgomery Ruritan Club Park improvements, community betterment, and charitable donations. Free ham, beans and corn bread will be served. Ruritan Club workers are reminded to report for usual work assignments. Respecting state law, the Ruritan Community Building is now smoke free.

Hope House to distribute

Hope House, 704 W. Van Trees St., will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon to distribute free food and clothing.

Four Rivers to hold meeting Jan. 28

The Daviess/Martin Four Rivers Board of Directors will meet Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Daviess County Division conference room in Washington. The agenda for the meeting will be posted at both the Four Rivers Daviess/Martin County Division offices in Washington and Loogootee.

Veale Creek to have meeting Sunday

Veale Creek Players will have their annual meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the theater located on SR 57 S. The public is welcome to attend. To become a member, a fee of $5 must be paid.

Young Entrepreneurs dinner set for Jan. 29

Evening with Young Entrepreneurs will be held Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. at Padaco. Dinner will be catered by Carla’s Catering and there will be live entertainment. For more information or to purchase tickets call 254-1500.

Donnie Baker tickets on sale

WHS junior class parents are selling tickets for Donnie Baker comedy show Saturday at Padaco. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and VIP tables are also available for $250. Ticket holders must be at least 21 years of age. Alcohol will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased by calling Natalye Booth at 698-7951 or Martha Newton at 254-4668.
