---- — Lady Hatchet Senior Night

The Lady Hatchet senior basketball players and managers will be recognized at their final home game Saturday night against North Knox. There will be a reception after the game in the high school cafeteria. Junior Varsity start time is 6:00.

Hatchets fall to Castle South

The Washington eighth grade boys basketball team lost Tuesday night to Castle South 52-38. Washington was led by Billy Fleetwood with 22 points. Evan Frances had five poitns, Jamal Robinson had four, Coby Robinson added three, Marcus Throne and Isaac Whitehead added two points each.

Washington season comes to an end

The Washington seventh grade boys basketball team saw its season come to an end with a 43-35 loss to Castle South in the first round of the SIJHAC conference tournament. Washington trailed 22-15 at halftime and 35-19 after three quarters, but couldn’t come all the way back in the eight-point defeat. Dustin Hunt led the Hatchets with 10 points. Bryce Browning and Bristol Yoder had eight points apiece, Jaydin Pendley had five points and John Rook had four points.
