WASHINGTON —

Vietnam Vet Day scheduled

March 30 has been designated as "Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day" and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3321 invites all Vietnam veterans to an informal ceremony in their honor. This will be held at the VFW Post Home (downstairs), 3 E. Main St., Washington, on March 30 at 1 p.m. All area Vietnam veterans are invited. Snacks will be available following the ceremony.

Loogootee Board to meet

Loogootee Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 6:30 p.m. Friday to receive information about prospective employees.

The regular session will be at 7 p.m. Items included on the agenda: bus fuel; public library appointment; sequester impact.

Chili supper in Edwardsport

There will be a chili supper fund raiser beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Edwardsport. Tickets are $7 for adult and $3 for children 12 and under. Proceeds go to repair the roof on the Sunday School addition.

DCH board to meet

Daviess Community Hospital Board of Governors will meet in executive session at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The open session will be at 9:30 a.m.
