Friday

12:48 a.m. - A caller reported a break in at 408 N.E. 5th Street. The resident said that while at work someone pushed in a window and took a piggy bank, a small amount of cash, an iPhone and pocket knife.

11:48 a.m. - A caller reported 2000 White Chrysler had been stolen from a residence at 408 N.E. 4th Street. The owner said he had spent the night at his girlfriend’s and when he returned the vehicle was gone. Police say the vehicle had been involved in a chase the previous evening where the driver had abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The owner was told the vehicle had been towed in.

8:05 a.m. - 1053 St. Johns Road after a city meter reader was bit by a dog. The meter reader declined to be taken to the hospital. The dog was located and confirmed that it had been vaccinated for rabies.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

10:23 p.m. - An employee of Chuckles, Odon, reported an unidentified vehicle drove off without paying for $71 in fuel.

3:50 p.m. - A caller on SR 57 N. reported that a Toyota Corolla was being tail-gated by a white Ford truck.

9:33 a.m. - A caller on U.S. 50 W. reported a reckless driver in a gold Dodge approaching Montgomery.

9:12 a.m. - A caller at 5049 N. Private Road 1215 E. reported that someone had hit his white 2001 Chevy Express van while it was parked at St. Mary’s Church.

ARRESTS

Derek Young, 19, Washington, was arrested Thursday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on an out of county warrant. No bond information was available.

Nicholas Orchard, 31, Washington, was arrested Thursday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for theft. Bond was set at $2,500.

Sabrina Miller, 36, Washington, was arrested Thursday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant with eight counts of child abuse or neglect. She was released on $2,500 bond.

Justin Walker, 25, Evansville, was arrested Thursday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for failure to appear. He was released on $2,000 bond.

LOOGOOTEE ARREST

Loogootee Police report the arrest of Xavier Fuesler, age 19 of Odon. Fuesler was charged with 4 counts of criminal mischief, 2 counts burglary, auto theft, resisting law enforcement in a vehicle and on foot and reckless driving. The charges stem from several burglaries at businesses in Loogootee and the subsequent arrest. Fuesler was taken to the Martin County Jail.
