Animals to meet
Friends for Animals will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Washington Carnegie Public Library, 300 W. Main. The public is invited to attend.
Commissioners to meet at night
Daviess County Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Produce Center, 5667N 900E. Items included on the agenda: immunization and education revenue ordinance; Bennington Levee appointment; EMA ordinance; MacAllister equipment leasing.
Redevelopment to meet Monday
The Washington Redevelopment Commission will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Items included on the agenda: discussion/approval of claims; reading of resolutions for TIF areas and declaring an economic revitalization area within a TIF district and approving tax abatement; discussion of annual report.
City Council to meet Monday
Washington City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Items included on the agenda: reading of ordinances to rezone land on Troy Road, amend zoning ordinance and code of ordinances; discuss bids for water system improvements; fire and police departments wage/benefit proposal.
The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet immediately following the Council meeting. Items on the agenda: discussion/approval of claims and permits, bids received on water system project and utility office software; open bids for pickup trucks.
DCH Neat Feet clinic next week
Daviess Community Hospital’s Neat Feet Clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Senior and Family Services. Appointments must be made by calling 254-8855. Cost is $25.
Women’s group to meet Tuesday
The Vincennes area Women’s Connection will mee at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at Brayten’s Restaurant in Vincennes. Lucille VanAken Benae will tell the group about “From Bondage to Freedom.” Cecile Jones from Vincennes will provide musical selections. Whitney Horrall of Melon Acres, Oaktown, will tell the group about their new adventure this year delivering garden produce weekly to individuals. Nursery is available with reservation.
