Helderman reunion at Eastside Park

The 32nd annual reunion of the descendants of Emery and Ida (Jackson) Helderman was held Nov. 3 at Washington Community Building at Eastside Park.

The reunion was hosted by the Jerry and Joyce Schuetz and Judy and Mel Robinson families, descendants of Ada Helderman Adams.

Joyce Schuetz called the meeting to order and Jan Stamper read minutes of last meeting. Judy Robinson then asked the blessing for the carry-in meal.

A new son was born to Kyle Kelly and Tracy Hill named Kahlene Andrew. Bonnie Williams is the great-grandmother. Adeline Aune was born to Lindsey and Ben Aune. Grandparents are Wayne and Sharon Ashmore. Crystal Wininger was married to John Russell. She is the daughter of Lisa and Randy Wininger. Nick Schuetz was married to Heather Drew, son of Jarrett Schuetz. Deaths reported were Nathan Schuetz, 19, son of Jarrett Schuetz and grandson of Jerry and Joyce Schuetz.

After the meal a white elephant sale was held by Ken Fuhrman as auctioneer assisted by Tammy Thompson.

Attending were Jerry and Joyce Schuetz, Derek, Melissa and Colton Mull, Jan, Landon and Mercedes Stamper, Joy, Lynlee, Blaze and Marvin Schuetz, Jim and Shirley Edwards, Linda Helderman, Jarrett Schuetz, Marvin and Gloria McClure, Charles and Jennifer Rodarmel, Tamra Thompson, Sarah Mull, Bonnie Williams, Doris Hill, Lester, Cora and Kisti Fuhrman, Natalie, Emily, Rhonda and Jody Schultheis, Jim, Joshua and Katrina Woody, Mike and Bev Thompson, Linda Howerter, Donna Mills Reedy, Mark Reedy, Ken Fuhrman, Dan and Linda Fitch, Joan Harker, Matt Chestnut, Jyl Harrison, Pat Ziegler, Dan and Judy Fitch, Mark and Marina Schultheis, Adam Chestnut, Audrey Heldreth, Tammy Stein, Betty and Michael Schultheis, Jill and Charles Edwards, Heaven and Kissy Sanders, Krystal Davis, Kelly Perardi, Ruth Helderman Mills, Alice Helderman Sharp, Tyler Schultheis, Sharon Mills Ashmore, Abbi Chestnut, Randy and Lisa Helderman Wininger, Crystal Wininger Russell and John Russell, and Kesley Davis.

Descendant of Maitland Helderman will host the reunion in 2014.

Guests were from West Virginia, Illinois, Colorado, Georgia, Florida and man places in Indiana.
