Friday

9:47 a.m. - Police received a report that someone vandalized an air conditioner at Fresh Start at 113N. Industrial Park Road.

10:06 a.m. - An employee at Chuckles at 201N.E. Fifth St. reported that a black Jeep Cherokee drove off without paying for $15 in gas. Police located the vehicle in Odon and left a message that the driver needs to either contact police or Chuckles.

11:53 a.m. - A resident at 102E. Oak St. reported an iPad had been stolen.

12:32 p.m. - A resident reported that someone used stolen debit card numbers to purchase $63.17 in food from a pizza place on SR 57S.

1:05 p.m. - Police received a report of a stolen cell phone from a resident at 2200E. Nat’l Hwy.

3:22 p.m. - A citizen reported a man was vandalizing a car at 101 Mill St. Officers report all four tires were flat, a side view mirror was broken off, and front windows on both the passenger and driver’s side were broken out.

Thursday

3:40 p.m. - A woman contacted police and said someone was using her checks and making purchases with them at Walmart and other locations.

COUNTY REPORT

9:18 p.m. - An employee of Chuckles, 1830 SR 57S. reported a drive off of $7.05.

ARRESTS

Matthew Gabhart, 36, Washington, was arrested Friday by Washington Police on a warrant for battery resulting in bodily injury. Bond was set at $2,500.

ACCIDENTS

Thursday

4:41 p.m. - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was called to a one vehicle accident on SR 57 near CR 450S. Jeanette M. Mullen, 38, of 404W. Main St., Washington, was driving north when she looked down at the radio and when she looked up, the car in front of her was making a left hand turn. Deputies report Mullen’s 2005 Buick went off the right side of the road and onto an embankment where it rolled over on its side. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained between $2,500 and $5,000 damage.
