WASHINGTON — The Flu Shot Clinic scheduled at Senior and Family Services for Friday has been rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 19, at 9 a.m.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

FOP dinner on Thursday

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 101 will hold its associate members appreciation dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Washington Conservation Club. You must have 2012 dues paid or pay at the door, $25.

Library book sale needs donations

Friends of the Library will hold its annual book sales Oct. 18 through 20. The preview for the Friends of the Library members will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 18. Public admissions is from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 20.

Book donations, DVDs,and CDS accepted. No encyclopedia sets or textbooks accepted.

Tax workshop on Monday

There will be a 2012 Property Tax workshop Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This program will be delivered via video streaming and can be viewed from multiple locations across the state, including Washington Carnegie Public Library, or you can watch it from your personal computer. Register to receive the link.

All individuals involved in county and local government budgeting should attend.

The workshop is free.
