Friday

7:24 a.m - Police received a report of a motorized wheelchair stuck on the overhead bridge on N.E. 15th Street Officer made several attempts to get the man assistance and then finally got the motorized chair to start and move off of the bridge.

8:14 a.m. - A man reported someone flattened two tires on his vehicle that was parked in front of 14 E.George St.

1:45 p.m. - A Walmart employee reported a man stuffed a cell phone charger, work gloves and a shirt in his pants and left without paying. The man left is a black Jeep Cherokee. The investigation is continuing.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

7:22 p.m. - A caller at 7894S SR 257 requested officers look at trail cameras he had. The caller has had several suspicious vehicles on his property and several items had been taken.

4:31 p.m. - A caller on I-69 near mile marker 67.5 reported a 5-gallon bucket filled with concrete in the southbound lane.

2:59 p.m. - A caller near U.S. 50 and Sportsman Road reported a reckless driver in a light blue Mitsubishi.

1:35 p.m. - A caller at 344N 300W reported someone had lost a couch and the pieces of that couch are all over the roadway. The pieces were removed from the road and the county highway department was contacted to remove the rest of the debris.

1:29 p.m. - A caller on SR 57N near Elnora reported a reckless driver in a blue SUV passing in double yellow zones and traveling at a high rate of speed.

7:29 a.m. - A caller at 3106E 700N reported that his mailbox had been burnt to the ground last night. Extra patrol was requested.

ARREST

Jose Diaz-Yanez, 29, of Washington, was arrested by State Police Friday on a failure to appear warrant for operating a vehicle while never receiving a license and one count of possession of marijuana under 30 grams. He was being held without bond at the Daviess County Security Center.
