Wednesday's police report

CITY REPORT

Tuesday

11:59 p.m. - Rick Hayes reported a possible breaking and entering at 105 S.E. 11th St. A bicycle was reported missing.

10:59 a.m. - A female caller reported vandalism to a car at 105 N.E. 15th St.

10:36 p.m. - Sgt. John Lagle found two people and an infant riding a scooter on E. Oak and Third streets. The father and the baby walked home while the mother rode the scooter home.

9:30 a.m. - A Daviess County Sheriff’s dispatcher received a report of a Republic garbage truck on fire in the parking lot of Brake and Wheel, 63 N. Commercial Drive. City firefighters were on the scene until 10:05 a.m. and extinguished the small fire.

12:48 a.m. - Ptl. Buck Seger reported a pursuit involving a male on a scooter at N.E. Third and Florence streets. The pursuit ended at N.E. Fourth and William streets. The rider, Tracy R. Miles, was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.

Monday

6:41 p.m. - A female caller reported juveniles were playing with a wounded pigeon at 900 S. Meridian St. Animal Control was contacted.

4:42 p.m. - A male caller reported a possible fight in front of Frette Energy, on W. Walnut and N.W. Sixth streets. A male at the scene said two Hispanic males drove up to him in a white Ford Explorer and started the altercation. The males left before officers arrived.

COUNTY REPORT

Monday

4:30 a.m. - An accident with injuries was reported at SR 57 and CR 200E. Plainville Fire were dispatched, along with deputies and Southwest Medical ambulance. One person was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville. A guard rail was also damaged. An accident report had not been released.

1:09 a.m. - A caller said a semi was leaking diesel fuel at Chuckle’s,1830S SR 57. Washington Township Volunteer firefighters were called and found approximately 10 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled. The spill was cleaned up.

ARRESTS

Stephanie Norrington, 43, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Monday on a Gibson County petition to revoke a suspended sentence for theft. She was being held without bond at the Daviess County Security Center.

Update - Charges were filed on Jeffery Alan Foster, 44, Washington, who was arrested by city city police on Monday. Foster was charged with battery and was being held at the security center without bond.
