Friday

4:02 a.m. - Reggie Baxter, 201 W. Walnut St., smelled smoke inside her home. City firefighters came but could not detect a fire.

Thursday

11:42 p.m. - Billy Skinner, 101 Mill St., said a person tried to enter his home. Pry marks were found on a door and a window, but no entry was gained.

5:50 p.m. - Danielle Barber, 909 Jefferson St., reported a computer stolen in the last month. A report was made.

COUNTY REPORT

Thursday

11:29 p.m. - A male caller reported his truck was set on fire at the Old Bed. Deputies found the vehicle fully engulfed in a cornfield a mile off a county road. Washington Township Volunteer firefighters were called to the scene and had the fire extinguished by 1:36 a.m. The incident is under investigation.

5:34 p.m. - A female caller at 14484N 800E said someone put a generator and tools in a garage. The owner of the items was found before a deputy could arrive.
