Dec. 5

8:18 a.m. - Justin C. Crosby, 30, Loogootee, was westbound on U.S. 50 west of Montgomery in a 2007 Ford Econoline registered to UHaul of Arizona when he crossed the center line and collided with a 2009 Mack truck with dump trailer registered to Elmer Buchta Trucking, Otwell. The Mack truck was driven by Steven G. Koenig, 37, 507 N.W. Ninth St., who suffered minor bleeding to his elbow/lower arm in the accident.

Crosby continued across the eastbound lane, went off the road into a ditch and came to rest in a field. He was not wearing a restraint, but his airbag deployed. He was trapped inside the vehicle and suffered a fracture/dislocation of his elbow/lower arm. He was cited for driving while suspended and for driving left of center.

Drug and alcohol tests were performed on both drivers, and results are pending. Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.
