WASHINGTON — Correction

Due to a photographer’s mistake, a Griffith Elementary student was incorrectly identified in Saturday’s edition. The student, named Zane Archer, was actually Ethan Armstrong. We apologize for the mistake.

Special Promise performance

The “crowd challenged” dress rehearsal/performance date for “The Promise” is at 7 p.m. Friday,  Doors will open at 6 p.m. Anyone is invited without a ticket who has a problem dealing with crowds in any way (wheel chairs, etc.). All the animals will be included and cast members will be in full costume. However, programs will not be passed out.

Freewill soup supper at UMC

The Alfordsville United Methodist Church will hold a freewill soup supper from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 9 in the church basement.

The public is invited.

B-R to hold roundup

Kindergarten Roundup for Barr-Reeve Community Schools will be Friday, March 15.

There will be two sessions available, 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. at the Primary building. Parents need to bring incoming students and their original birth certificate. Contact the office at 486-3235 with any questions.
