DUBOIS — For the Barr-Reeve boys basketball team, Saturday night was business as usual.
The Class A No. 1 Vikings (9-0) defeated Northeast Dubois (2-7) 64-45 Saturday night behind 34 points from senior Micah Bullock.
The Vikings led 23-13 after the first quarter as Bullock scored 20 points, while hitting five of his seven 3-pointers. Bullock scored two more points in the second quarter to give him 22 at halftime. Logan Lengacher had six points and Addison Wagler had seven in the second quarter to give Barr-Reeve 38-22 at halftime.
In the second half, the Vikings outscored the Jeeps 26-23 to close out the victory to stay undefeated. Jon McMullen had 12 points off the bench, Wagler had eight points and Lengacher finished with six points.
Tyler Haas led Northeast Dubois with 14 points and Jacob Gress had eight points.
Saturday’s win was the Barr-Reeve’s final tuneup before Saturday’s matchup against Elizabethtown (Ky.) in the Indiana v. Kentucky Challenge Cup at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky.
