Washington places sixth

VINCENNES — Washington placed sixth  and Barr-Reeve's Eric Wagler tied for ninth individually in the 20-team Vincennes Lincoln Golf Invitational Saturday.

The Alices shot 360 to lead a four-team local contingent at the event held at The Country Club of Old Vincennes.

Clay Hatton and Tyler Stoll each shot 88 to pace Washington. Cam Lancaster and Connor Brown each had 92 with Devon Rude scoring 97 North Daviess placed 13th at 385, Barr-Reeve was 14th with 392 and Washington Catholic was 20th with 437.

Tucker Fisher shot 92 for the Cougars. He was followed by Austin Byrer with 95, Justin Knepp with 98, Zach Graber with 106 and Clark Cornelius at 108.

Eric Wagler shot a round of 84 for the Vikings. He was followed by: Blake Hoover, 97, Collin Swartzentruber, 105; Zach Graber, 106, and Clark Cornelius, 108.

Washington Catholic was led by Ethan Wichman with a round of 94. He was followed by: Brandon Strange, 107; Brian Brown, 114; AJ Sellers, 122, and Jon Mitchell, 124.

Evansville Reitz took team honors with 335. The Panthers were followed by:

Vincennes Lincoln Green, 342; South Spencer, 346; Southridge, 348; Evansville Central, 358; Washington; Vincennes Lincoln White, 363; North Knox, 371; Mount Vernon, 371; Gibson Southern, 376; Evansville Mater Dei, 379; Princeton, 384; North Daviess; Barr-Reeve; South Knox, 395; White River Valley, 407; North Posey, 413; Boonville, 418, Pike Central, 419, and Washington Catholic.

Central's Dylan Meyer was medalist with a round of 73, Southridge's Tyler Gray shot 76. North Knox's Brady Carrie and Reitz's Jacob Sexton tied for third at 79.

Lincoln's Austin Leonard and Reitz's Devin Garrett rounded out the top five with rounds of 80.
