---- — Zeller helps Bobcats to win over Knicks

NEW YORK — Washington native Cody Zeller scored seven points (2-3 FG, 3-4 FT) and grabbed five rebounds in Charlotte’s 102-97 victory over the Knicks Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Kemba Walker led the Bobcats with 25 points, while Gerald Henderson had 18 points and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 16 points.

Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 32 points for New York, but made just 10 of 28 shots from the field.

Vikings State Finals tickets available

MONTGOMERY — Volleyball State Finals tickets can be purchased in the Barr-Reeve High School Office Thursday during school hours.

Cost of each ticket is $10 and there is NO reserved seating.

There will be a send-off for the Barr-Reeve Lady Viking Volleyball Team Friday morning at 10:30 from the school.

Hatchet softball clinic

The Washington High School girls softball is having a free pitching clinic for any girl age 7 to 14 Sunday at Lena Dunn Elementary school.

Registration Starts at 6:45 and the clinic will run from 7:00 to 8:30.
