MONTGOMERY — The Barr-Reeve girls tennis team defeated Washington Catholic, 5-0. Allison Hoover beat Macy Kane at No. 1 singles (6-2, 6-0), Melody Rohrer beat Claire Burch at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-1) and at No. 3 singles, Bethanie Knepp defeated Rachel May (6-1, 6-1). Hania Sisco-Baleigh Miller defeated Megan LaGrange-Uma Patel (6-0, 6-0) at No. 1 doubles and Kaitlin Swartzentruber-Leah Bullock beat Amillia Mize-Marissa Bradley at No. 2 doubles (6-0, 6-0).

Schultheis, Graber win at South Knox

VINCENNES — The Barr-Reeve girls track team ran at a meet at South Knox Monday afternoon. Megan Graber finished first in the 200 and 400m, Emily Schultheis finished first in the 1600m and second in the 3200m and Cassidy Brothers finished fourth in the 1600m and third in the 800m. Kaitlyn Gabhart finished fourth in the 400m.

Lions defeat Cougars

CRANE — The boys golf teams of Loogootee and North Daviess matchedup yesterday with the Lions coming out on top. Loogootee shot 184 as a team, 15 strokes better than the Cougars, who shot 199 as a group. The Lions were led by Jess Divine and Josh Lampert with scores of 44 each. Wyatt Wade shot a 47 and Jorden Berry had a 49.

Cougars defeat Chargers

ELNORA — The North Daviess baseball team won its second game of the season, 3-2 over Pike Central. Logan Wagler went the distance for the Cougars, allowing just two runs. Alex Wittmer (RBI), Caleb Wagler and Brayden Wesner (2 RBI) led the Cougars with two hits each at the plate.
