Lions fall to Memorial

VINCENNES — The Loogootee boys tennis team (5-11) lost 4-1 to Evansville Memorial in a match played at the Vincennes University Courts. Gabe Nolley won 6-3, 6-4 over Ryan Clark at No. 1 singles for the Lions’ only victory. Tylan Norris and Wyatt Wade lost at No. 2 and No. 3 singles in straight sets. At No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, Hayden Bell-Jordan Berry and Landon Bell-Caleb Dant lost in straight sets.

Vikings defeat Memorial

MONTGOMERY — The Barr-Reeve seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams defeated Wood Memorial Tuesday night. The eighth grade (11-1) won 25-13, 25-11. The top server was Nicole McMullen with 12. The seventh grade (12-1) won 25-14, 25-13. The top server was Marissa Helms with 13.

Vikings defeat Cougars

ELNORA — The Barr-Reeve volleyball team defeated North Daviess 25-14, 25-12, 25-18 Tuesday night at the Cougar Den.

Chandra Bruner led the Cougars with 4 aces, 6 kills, 1 block, and 10 digs. Jessica Miller with 1 ace, 4 kills, 1 block, and 5 digs. Kaylee Wagler with 3 digs. Lenzi Brewer with 8 assists and 6 digs. Madison Reed with 4 kills, 8 assists, and 12 digs. Morgan Wadsworth with 1 kill and 18 digs. Nicole Woodruff with 1 block and 1 dig. Randi Pershing with 8 digs. Taylor Jeffers with 5 kills and 18 digs. Barr-Reeve also won at the junior varsity in 2 sets with score of 25-10, 25-13.
