B-R junior high girls split games
MONTGOMERY — Barr-Reeve's junior high girls teams swept Loogootee on Monday, but were defeated by Northeast Dubois on Tuesday.
The seventh grade defeated Loogootee, 25-23 and 25-16 while the eighth grade team won, 23-25, 25-8 and 15-10. Mariah Bullock led the seventh graders with 15 service points while Kenzie Swartzentruber had 12 points. Annie Graber had 19 service points for the eighth grade, while Nicole McMullen tallied 14 points.
The seventh grade lost to Northeast Dubois, 25-19 and 25-20. Hunter Emmons and Kaitlyn Mincey led the Vikings with four service points each. The eighth grade lost, 25-22, 23-25 and 11-15. Bailey Graber had nine service points and Annie Graber had seven points.
The seventh grade has a 14-2 record and the eighth grade has a 16-2 record.
Bush leads Hanover to win
NORTH MANCHESTER — The Hanover men's soccer team opened its Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a 2-0 win over Manchester University.
Former Washington High School player Austin Bush scored a goal and tallied an assist in the win. Manchester is now 5-5-1 on the season.
