WASHINGTON — Viking girls beat Jasper

JASPER -- Barr-Reeve defeated Jasper in a pair of seventh and eighth grade girls basketball games Thursday.

The seventh grade team defeated Jasper, 25-24. Macin Graber scored seven points for the Vikings (7-1). Emily Schultheis scored six, Peyton Lengacher four, Hannah Graber and Bethany Wittmer three each and Leah Bullock two.

The Vikings won the seventh grade game, 26-20. Tyanna Graber scored 16 points for Barr-Reeve (6-2),and Annie Graber, Bailey Graber, Courtney Howell, Kacey Jones and Hannah Fuhs scored two each..

On Monday, the eighth grade lost to North Knox, 34-16. The seventh grade defeated the Warriors, 34-15.

Eighth grade tops Forest Park

Washington defeated Forest Park in a pair of boys eighth grade games Thursday.

Matthew Stephens scored 19 points and Max Lancaster 17 as Washington (8-2) won the A game, 65-18.

Jacob Overton scored nine, Austin Moody seven, Reid Neff six, Logan Allen four and Jeremiah Kirsch three.

Washington (3-2) won the B game, 44-29.

Logan Bateman scored nine points, Donovan Langdon, Austin Fox and Curtis Tucker scored eight each, Chase Clymer five and Ben Lambert four.

Hatchets split pair

The Washington seventh grade boys basketball team split two games with Forest Park Thursday.

In the first game, the Hatchets lost to undefeated Forest Park 53-36.

Scoring for the Hatchets were Cameron Osmon 13, Billy Fleetwood eight, Jamal Robinson six, Coby Robinson four, Marcus Thorne three and Evan Francis two.

In the second game, Washington won 37-21. Scoring for the Hatchets were Osmon nine, Brandon Wolfe, Wesley Edwards and Michael Deaves eight each and Issac Whitehead four.

Washington¹s seventh grade boys basketball team defeated Loogootee, 27-24, Tuesday.

Fleetwood scored six points for Washington, Frances and Gage Latham four, Robinson three, Thorne, Osmon and Edwards two and Whitehead and Sam Erb one.
