WASHINGTON — Cam Lancaster shot 41 with Tyler Stoll and Connor Brown 42 each as Washington dropped a 156-168 dual golf match to Heritage Hills Wednesday.

"Cam continues to play well," Washington coach Bill Ricke said. "He had five pars. His confidence is much improved in the past two weeks. Both Tyler and Connor are talented, and there are going to be some good days ahead for them as we approach tournament time at the end of the month." Devan Rude shot 43 for Washington, with Clay Hatton shooting 45 and Derek Gress 54.

"Devan had a solid round of 43," Ricke said. "He has been Mr. Consistency for us lately. This was a good day for us. We shot 168 without the score of our scoring leader for the year, Clay Hatton. That means we are getting better from the bottom up and that is encouraging. We are moving in the right direction."
