Area baseball sectional draw

WASHINGTON — If the Class 3A baseball sectional at Jasper is going to be won, a team will likely have to beat the host Wildcats on the own field.

Washington gets that opportunity at the Class 3A affair as the Hatchets face the Wildcats May 22 at 5:30 p.m.

At Loogootee, the host Lions meet Vincennes Rivet in the Class A tournament.

That game will begin at 6 p.m.

Mitchell and Vincennes Lincoln follow the Hatchets and Wildcats May 22.

Winners from the opening night return May 27 at 11 a.m. Heritage Hills and Pike Central play their first sectional game at 1 p.m.

Winners from the two Saturday games play at 8 p.m. for the championship.

At Loogootee, Barr-Reeve and North Daviess open the final three tournament games at 10 a.m. May 27. Shoals meets the winner of Wednesday¹s game at noon.

The winners of those Saturday games then return for the championship game set at 7 p.m.
