WASHINGTON — North Daviess Awards Night

ELNORA - Awards Night for players in the North Daviess boys basketball program is Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the school's cafeteria.

The night is for players in grades five through 12. Players should wear game-day attire.

Cake and drinks will be served.

Softball sets registration

MONTGOMERY - Registration for girls 12U, 10U, 8U and pre kindergarten girls softball is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the hallway outside of the old gym at Barr-Reeve High School.

The cost is $15 a child, with additional children costing $10 each.

Youth wrestling to begin

The Washington youth wrestling program for students from kindergarten through the sixth grade begins Monday at Lena Dunn Elementary School  at 6 p.m., and continues through 8 p.m. each evening of the week through Friday.

Registration is Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Lena Dunn. Students may register Monday at the first session.

The cost of the program is $25 per student and includes a T-shirt.

Rose is not yet ready to play

DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says Derrick Rose is "not quite" ready to return from his knee injury.

He says the superstar point guard continues to practice.
