Barr-Reeve wins two

DUBOIS — Barr-Reeve improved to 8-2 by taking two baseball games Saturday at Northeast Dubois.

Stanley Kemp went the distance, allowing seven hits, as the Vikings blanked Perry Central, 14-0, to open the two-game series.

Kemp allowed one walk while fanning four for the Vikings to earn the win.

Logan James, Brandon Wagler and Addison Wagler all doubled for Barr-Reeve in the victory. James had three hits in the win, Brandon Wagler had two with Cain Miller, Heath Graber, Logan Lengacher, Kemp, Addison Wagler and Jon McMullen all having one each.

Neither team scored in the opening inning before the Vikings scored four runs in each of the following two innings. Barr-Reeve then completed the scoring with six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Lucas Graber hit a home run in the nightcap to help the Vikings secure a 5-4 eight-inning win over Princeton.

The teams were tied at two after five innings before Princeton scored two runs in the top of the eighth.

Barr-Reeve then responded with three runs in the bottom of the eighth for the victory.

Brandon Wagler added two doubles in the game, and Logan James had one.

Brandon Wagler, Heath Graber and Lucas Graber had two hits each. James and McMullen had one each.

Trevor Yoder started for Barr-Reeve. Jeff Parson pitched one with Lucas Graber pitching the final three to earn the win.
