Hatchets beat Bosse

EVANSVILLE — The Washington baseball team (6-11) beat Evansville Bosse 18-3 Wednesday night to snap a four-game losing streak. Dalton Devine, Austin Moody, Cain Mandabach and Ben Lamert had three RBIs a piece to lead the Washington offense. Colten Garland, Nick Gray and Kory May had one RBI each. Garland allowed zero unearned runs in five innings, striking out seven and walking five for the win.

WHS Softball Camp

Washington High School softball coaching staff will be holding a Softball Summer Camp. The camp will run through the month of June. The times will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Grades 1-4 will be on Monday and Wednesday. Grades 5-8 will be on Tuesday and Thursday. The cost of the camp is $25. You may contact Washington High School Athletic office with questions. Application forms are available on the Washington Community School website.

Cougars defeat WRV, Shakamak

CRANE — The North Daviess golf team won a three-team match against White River Valley Tuesday afternoon behind medalist Tucker Fisher’s 41. Austin Graber shot a 48, Austen Byrer shot a 49, Brian Lawyer shot a 54 and Trent Bowman shot a 55. On Wednesday, the Cougars finished third in a four-team match with Pike Central, Loogootee and Eastern Greene. Fisher was the medalist for the second day in a row with a 40. Austen Graber shot a 46, Brady Helms had a 48, Austin Graber shot a 49, Brian Lawyer shot a 54 and Trent Bowman had a 55.

Barr-Reeve baseball defeats Linton

MONTGOMERY — Barr-Reeve won its third game in a row Wednesday night with a 4-1 victory over Linton. Lucas Graber threw a complete game, allowing four hits, one unearned run and struck out nine. Logan James led the offense with two RBIs, Trevor Yoder and Graber had one RBI each.
