EVANSVILLE — The Washington girls soccer team lost to Evansville Memorial 6-0 Wednesday evening. The Hatchets were outshot by the Tigers 24-9.

Hatchets defeat Loogootee

LOOGOOTEE — The Washington boys tennis team beat Loogootee 4-1 Thursday afternoon. The Lions lone victory came at No. 1 singles where Gabe Nolley defeated Lucas Miller 6-2, 6-1. Washington's Corey Thompson and Jacob Luttrell earned victories at No. 2 and 3 singles in straight sets. Tyler Stoll and Jake Bedwell won in straight sets at No. 1 doubles against Jordan Berry-Wyatt Wade. At No. 2 doubles, Jonathan Harner-Michael Ramsey beat Landon Bell-Caleb Dant 6-0, 6-2.

Washington defeated the Lions 4-2 in junior varsity matches.
