Washington defeated Barr-Reeve and Washington Catholic in a triangular golf match at Country Oaks Golf Club Thursday.
Washington shot 180 to 197 for Barr-Reeve and 210 for Washington Catholic.
Cam Lancaster shot 43 to pace the Hatchets (37-18).
“I am proud of his efforts,” Washington coach Bill Ricke said. “He played with more confidence and made par on five holes. He played an encouraging round.”
Washington’s Tyler Stoll and Barr-Reeve’s Eric Wagler tied for second place with rounds of 44.
Blake Hoover also shot 46 for the Vikings. He was followed by Zach Graber at 53, Colin Sourdike 54, Steven Wilson 56 and Zach Tanksley 57.
Devan Rude shot 46, Connor Brown and Derek Gress 47 for Washington. Sam Williams had a round of 49.
“Tyler started with a triple bogey, but held his composure,” Ricke said. “His putting and chipping are improving. Derek had the only birdie on the par five 12th hole that played into the wind. He hit his drive and a 6-iron to reach the green, and then two putted to a difficult top pin position.”
Ethan Wichman shot 50 for the Cardinals. He was followed Brian Brown with 52, Brandon Strange 53, AJ Sellers 55 and Jon Mitchell with 59.
“We played on a windy, soggy golf course,” Ricke said. “That kept the scores up a little higher than the all of the teams would have liked.”
