Cam Lancaster shot 39 and Clay Hatton 40 as Washington defeated South Knox, 166-192, in a dual golf match at Country Oaks Golf Club Monday.
Lancaster was match medalist for the second time for the Hatchets who improved to 37-18 win the win.
“We played the ball down for the first time in competition and Cam played nine solid holes,” Washington coach Bill Ricke said.
He has been working hard on shortening his swing to attain better control and he was rewarded. Clay double bogeyed his first hole and then regrouped and played a very solid round of golf.”
Connor Brown shot 43 for Washington. He was followed by Tyler Stoll with 44, Devan Rude with 45 and Andy Garland 48.
Dean Adams and Garrett Lamb each shot rounds of 45 for South Knox. Nicholas Byrd shot 49, Nathan Gray 53, Kyle Foley 54 and Thomas Ketchum 67.
