Wagler places 2nd in 1600 meters

JASPER — Loogootee’s Zach Wagler placed second and fourth in two events at Thursday's boys track sectional.

Wagler placed second in the 1,600 meters in a time of 4:33.15, and was fourth in the 3,200 meters in 10:21.

Both of Wagler’s finishes now qualifies him for the regional at Evansville Central at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Liam Hollihan placed eighth for the Lions in the 8000 meters in 2:08.41.

Loogootee’s 3,200 relay team (Mitch Daniel, Dameon Early, Chase Wilcoxen and Joey Wilson) also placed eight.
