Hatchets fall to Mt. Carmel

MT. CARMEL, Ill. — The Washington girls basketball team lost to Mt. Carmel Tuesday night, 84-57. The Hatchets trailed 35-32 at halftime, but in the third quarter, the Aces outscored Washington 35-8 behind six Tyra Buss 3-pointers. Buss finished with 49 points on the night. Cheyenne Jones led Washington with 14 points. Carrie Lane had 12, Audra Stallman scored eight, Ally Hunsinger and Emily Mahan had seven points each. Lupe Perez scored five points and Jenna Johnson had four.

Barr-Reeve fall sports banquet

MONTGOMERY — Our Fall Sports Banquet will be Saturday night, November 23, starting at 7:00. Cookies and drinks will be provided.

Vikings tickets on sale

MONTGOMERY —The Barr-Reeve Athletic Department is selling tickets for the Indiana – Kentucky Hall of Fame Challenge Cup. The Barr-Reeve Boys Varsity Basketball Team will be playing Elizabethtown, Ky. on Jan. 11, 2014 at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky. Ticket prices are $10. Barr-Reeve receives $2.50 per ticket sold by the school. Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are general admission and the deadline to purchase tickets at the athletic office is December 18. If you have any questions, you can contact the Barr-Reeve High School Office at 486-3265.

    All Barr-Reeve and Washington athletic events for Tuesday were postponed due to inclement weather. Loogootee track and junior varsity baseball were also postponed. North Daviess baseball, girls tennis and boys golf still will go on as planned.
