MT. VERNON — The Washington seventh grade boys basketball team plaeyd in a four-team event Saturday. In the first game, Washington lost 50-26 against Castle North. Bristol Yoder led Washington with 10 points, Bryce Browning had seven, Dustin Hunt added six, Jaydin Pendley had two and Tyson Wright had one point. In the second game, Washington defeated Mt. Vernon 39-29. Bristol Yoder and Dustin Hunt had 10 points each, Bryce Browning had seven, Tyson Wright had five, Jaydin Pendley had three, John Rook and Casey Quast had two points a piece.
Hatchet boys at Round Robin Tourney
The Washington eighth grade boys basketball team improved to 5-9 when it split two games at a Round Robin tournament Saturday. In the first game, Washington won 46-22 over Mt. Vernon. Jamal Robinson scored 10 points, Wes Edwards had eight, Brandon Wolfe had seven, Isaac Whitehead and Gage Lathan had six points, Even Frances added three, Billy Fleetwood, Michael Deaves, Sam Urb and AJ Durnil had two points apiece.
Vikings split two games
VINCENNES — The Barr-Reeve fifth and sixth grade boys basketball teams split two games at South Knox Monday night. The fifth grade team won 35-25. Tyson Knepp led the Vikings with eight points, Hagen Knepp had six, Will Craig had five, Devin Graber, Tanner Graber and Aaron Wagler had four points each. Logan Crager and Christian Smith added two points each. In the sixth grade game, the Vikings los 26-22. Keegan O’Neil led Barr-Reeve with 10 points. Jacob Wagler had seven, Caleb Graber had four and Jeremiah Graber added one point.
