Hatchets fall to Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD — The Washington seventh grade boys basketball team lost to Bloomfield 38-24 Thursday night. Bristol Yoder led Washington with 15 points. Jaydin Pendley had four points, John Rook and Austin Jones had two points each and Tyson Wright had one point.

Vikings defeat Lions

MONTGOMERY — The Barr-Reeve seventh and eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Loogootee Monday night. In the seventh grade game, Tyanna Graber and Kara Hughes led the Vikings with nine points each. Moriah Bullock had three points and Hannah Fuhs scored one point. In the eighth grade game, the Vikings won 54-15. Bailey Graber had 19 points to lead all scorers, Annie Graber had 13 points, Tyanna Graber had 12, Kacey James had six points, Natalie Graber and Hannah Fuhs had two points apiece.

Vikings split with North Knox

MONTGOMERY — The Barr-Reeve seventh and eighth grade girls basketball team split two games with North Knox Thursday night. In the seventh grade game, the Vikings (10-3) lost 33-31. Moriah Bullock and Tyanna Graber had 10 points each. Kenzie Swartzentruber had nine points, Kara Hughes had six points and Hannah Fuhs added one point. In the eighth grade, the Vikings (8-5) won 33-32. Barr-Reeve was led by Tyanna Graber with 18 points. Annie Graber had six points, Baily Graber added five points, Natalie Graber had three points and Hannah Fuhs had one point.
