Koerner and Osha advance to semi-state

BLOOMINGTON — Washington's Ryan Koerner and Ritchie Osha have advanced to Saturday¹s semistate at the Ford Center in Evansville after placing third in their respective weight classes at the regional.

Koerner (30-7) placed third in the 113-pound weight class. Osha (34-6) did the same at 145 pounds.

Six of the nine wrestlers Washington sent to the regional finished in the top six.

Levi Graber (34-10) placed fifth at 120 pounds, Edgardo Meza (34-11) was fifth at 132, Aaron Cissell (36-10) was fifth at 170 and Edrwin Revolorio was fifth at 195 pounds.

The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the semistate in Evansville. The four Washington wrestlers placing fifth are the first alternate if any of the top four in their weight class are unable to wrestle in the semistate.

Koerner, a sophomore, and Osha, a junior, will make their first semistate apperances.

Washington finished eighth in team standings with 58 points. Host Bloomington South won the team competition with 240.5 points.

The semistate is set to bedgin at 10 a.m. (EST).
