Cardinals fall to Lighthouse

BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington Lighthouse Christian defeated Washington Catholic, 53-48, in boys basketball Saturday.

Washington Catholic (2-14) held a 15-7 lead in the opening quarter before Lighthouse took a 21-20 lead at the half.

The teams tied with 15 points each in the third quarter before Lighthouse ended with the 53-48 win.

Colton Reed led the Cardinals with a game-high 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Jonathan Mitchell scored 10 for Washington Catholic.

John Ray led Lighhouse with 14 points and Bray Snyder scored 13.

The Cardinals hit 20-57 from the field, which included one of 11 from behind the arc. Washington Catholic converted seven of nine from the free throw line.

Washington Catholic's Friday home game with South Central was postponed.

A new date has not yet been set.
