Terry and Tonya Shafer of Plainville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Allison LeAnn Shafer, to Miles Justin Krieger, son of Butch and Donna Krieger of Greenville, Ind.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of North Daviess High School. She graduated in 2009 from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in nursing while working full-time for Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Floyd Central High School in Floyds Knobs, Ind. He was graduated in 2003 from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelors of Liberal Arts degree in communication studies and received his Masters in Public Administration in 2008 from the University of Southern Indiana. He is currently employed with Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo., where he is a cross country and track and field coach.

The couple will marry Saturday, June 13 at 2 p.m. at the Turning Pointe United Methodist Church in Evansville.

They plan to make their home in Cape Girardeau after the wedding.

Formal invitations have been sent, but friends and family are welcome to attend.
