Joni Michele Stroud and Curtis Allen Parker, along with their parents, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jim and Sharon Stroud of Washington. Grandparents are Flora Sloan of Petersburg and the late Walter Sloan along with the late Rev. and Mrs. Paul Stroud. She is a 1996 graduate of Washington High School. She graduated from Vincennes University with an associate’s degree in accounting and is currently employed at Four Star Fabricators as payroll manager.

The future bridegroom is the son of Rick and Teresa Parker of Petersburg. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harvey and Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Parker, all of Petersburg. He is a 2000 graduate of Pike Central High School and graduated from Vincennes University with an associate’s degree in computer programming. He is currently employed at Pike County School Corporation as district computer technician.

The wedding will take place at 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at Petersburg Free Methodist Church with a reception immediately following. Invitations have been sent but all friends and family are invited.
