Dennis Killion and Susan Killion, both of Washington, announce engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Valerie Nicole Killion, to Nicholas Thomas Haynes of New Albany.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Washington High School, a 2006 Indiana University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences and a 2008 Ball State University graduate with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She is currently employed at Frazier Rehabilitation Institute in Louisville, Ky., as a speech-language pathologist specializing in traumatic brain injury.

The future bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of New Albany High School, a 2004 graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in business and a 2006 graduate of Indiana University Southeast with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is currently employed at Louis T. Roth in Louisville as a public accountant.

The couple will be married Oct. 25 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Louisville. Following the wedding, the couple will reside in New Albany.
