Published January 21, 2008 10:47 am - FRANKFORT — Margie L. Dixon Patterson, 85, died Saturday at Westley Manor, Frankfort.
Born May 12, 1922, in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of James Walter Sr. and Emmie Ila (Pearce) Dixon.
On Nov. 7, 1938, she married Rev. William Patterson and after 58 years of marriage he went to meet the Lord on Jan. 4, 1997.

FRANKFORT — Margie L. Dixon Patterson, 85, died Saturday at Westley Manor, Frankfort.

Born May 12, 1922, in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of James Walter Sr. and Emmie Ila (Pearce) Dixon.

On Nov. 7, 1938, she married Rev. William Patterson and after 58 years of marriage he went to meet the Lord on Jan. 4, 1997.

Together, she and her husband served churches in LaCrosse, Wanatah, San Pierre, Clinton, Brick Chapel, Union Chapel, Milan, Pierceville, Fountaintown, Springs Valley, French Lick, Mt. Lebanon, Waveland, New Market and Poseyville. Upon retirement, they moved to Washington. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Washington.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Bill Grimm of Clinton, Bonnie and Phil Cooper of Muncie and Deborah and Jon Chapman of N. Augusta, S.C.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Goodwill Cemetery, Loogootee, with Rev. Lennie Lawrence officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Preferred memorials are to Wesley Manor, 1555 N. Main St., Frankfort, IN 46041.
