Published May 12, 2008 03:48 pm - Richard Irving “Dick” Waller, 74, of Washington, died at 6:24 p.m. Sunday at Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville.
Born May 8, 1934, in Daviess County, he was the son of Fred Clifford and Lois (Howard) Waller.

Richard Irving “Dick” Waller, 74, of Washington, died at 6:24 p.m. Sunday at Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville.
Born May 8, 1934, in Daviess County, he was the son of Fred Clifford and Lois (Howard) Waller.
A 1953 graduate of Washington Catholic High School, he retired from the Washington Fire Department after 20 years of service and later owned and operated Waller Construction Company. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge, American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Jenny” (Todd) Waller, whom he married Nov. 19, 1955; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Butler, Tami and Mark Traylor and Cindy and Sam Humbaugh, all of Washington; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Jill Waller and Doug Waller, all of Washington; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sue Beckett of Washington.
He is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Waller; a son-in-law, Bill Butler; and a grandson, Josh Wagler.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gill Chapel. Private committal services will follow cremation.

Preferred memorials are to the Washington Conservation Club.
