Hazel Cobb

LOOGOOTEE — Hazel A. Cobb, 100, died at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday at Martin County Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Dec. 11, 1907, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Horace and Maggie May (Martell) McKibben.
She was a homemaker, avid gardener and very much enjoyed her church, family and friends. She was a member of the Dover Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mary McClellan of Apollo Beach, Fla., Joyce Patterson of Cannelburg, Bonnie and Loland Troutman of Shoals, Dixie and Robert Tharp of Umatilla, Fla., Frieda and Gene Johnson of Shoals, Carol and Robert Pollak of Indianapolis, and Judy and Mike Moser of Huron; sons and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Charlotte Cobb of West Monroe, La., and John Cobb of Indianapolis; 32 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 18 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.
Her husband, Lee O. Cobb, whom she married in 1925 in Paoli, died Aug. 16, 1988. One son, Melvin Cobb; one daughter, Betty Miller; one granddaughter; one grandson; one great-grandson; one stepgrandson; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Jessie Allen; and three brothers, Jim, Roy and Earl McKibben, are also deceased.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Dover Hill. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery, Loogootee.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Queen-Lee Funeral Home, Shoals, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
