ODON — Helen Virginia Osmon, 92, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham Memorial Nursing Center.

Born April 29, 1916, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Herman and Elsie (Atchley) Sears.

She was a homemaker and former beauty shop operator. A member of Parkview Christian Church, she enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a lifelong Daviess County resident.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Bob Nichols of Plainville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joan Osmon of Odon; grandchildren and their spouses, Jina Stoll of Plainville, Glenda and Matt O’Connor of Odon, Diana and Ben Harkness of Odon, and LeAnne and John Crooks of Shelburn; eight great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Harland Osmon, whom she married Oct. 30, 1937, died February 2000. One son-in-law, Robert Stoll, is also deceased.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parkview Christian Church, with Rev. Don Smith and Bro. Alfred Helms officiating. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
