LOOGOOTEE — Joseph H. Fegan, 87, died at 1:54 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Born Oct. 31, 1920, in Corning, he was the son of Herschel and Ellen (Hunter) Fegan.
He was a retired Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korean War, having served 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Margie (Craney) Fegan; two sons, Gary Fegan of Missoula, Mont., and Colen Fegan of Ramona, Calif.; three daughters, Mary Conklin of Tucson, Ariz., Monica Conklin of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Kellie Bowen of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Helen Marie Joeger of Santa Monica, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one daughter, Josette Guardo; one son, Farrell Fegan; three sisters; and two brothers.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Church Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion and VFW.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brocksmith Funeral Home, Loogootee.
