Born March 28, 1929, in Odon, she was the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Bertha (Fostora) Holt. A homemaker, she was a member of Farmers Chapel Church and a mentor with Kids Hope. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a loyal friend who will be greatly missed. Survivors include a daughter, Pamala O’Brien of California; a son, Alan Peebles of Clinton, Miss.; and three grandchildren, Bryan, Jeffrey and Kristen Peebles. Her husband, Stan Peebles; parents; a sister, Lois Gootee; and two brothers, Dwight and Ray Holt, are deceased. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with Rev. Harold Throckmartin officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odon. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. (Aug. 24, 2008)
