ELNORA — Lana A. Carpenter, 53, died Wednesday morning at her residence.

Born Dec. 31, 1954, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Donald O. and Vera June (Krainning) Kail.

A member of Elnora United Methodist Church, she had worked at Nasco for six years.

She is survived by her husband, William T. Carpenter, whom she married Jan. 28, 1973; father, Donald Kail of Vincennes; son, William Joshua Carpenter of Odon; daughters and sons-in-law, Amber Dawn and Joseph Kaho of Lyons, and Andrea Jaye and Jesse Ennsmann of Elnora; five grandsons; sisters and brother-in-law, Nina and Steve Laughlin of Odon, and Lorie Wilcoxen of Indianapolis.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Vera Kail; and two brothers, Mark and Mike Kail.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Don Wilson officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are being made through Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home.
