MARION — Gaylord C. Grow Jr., 62, Marion, died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday at Marion General Hospital. He was born in Washington to the late Gaylord and Wilma (Kays) Grow Sr.

Gaylord was employed at Essex in Marion. He loved gardening, fishing, karaoke and drinking coffee with family and friends. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He is survived by children and their spouses Jennifer and David Stevens, Julie and Lawrence Smith and Chris and Jenny Grow, all of Marion, Joan and Harry Hawk of Plainfield, Robert Grow of Louisiana, Danny and Beverly Grow of Spokane, Wash., Loretta and Don Kendall of Montgomery and Mary Sue and Pat Shane of Florida; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Charlie Hall officiating. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery.
