Paul B. Wade, 75, of Washington and formerly of Montgomery, died at 4 a.m. Thursday at his residence.
Born July 31, 1934, in Daviess County, he was the son of James V. and Ellen (Steiner) Wade.
A 1952 graduate of Epsom High School, he had worked at McCord Corporation for 22 years. He was a retired farmer and had managed IMC Fertilizer Plant for 21 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Washington Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Agnes (Toy) Wade, whom he married Aug. 27, 1953; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha Ann and Jay Oswalt of Beech Grove and Martha A. and Tim Arvin of Bedford; five sons and daughters-in-law, James C. and Sally Wade, Mike and Jenny Wade, John Wade, Ronald and Mindy Wade, Pat and Michelle Wade, all of Washington; 15 grandchildren, Michelle and Robert Oswalt, both of Beech Grove, Matthew Arvin of Baltimore, Md., Benjaman Arvin of Austin, Texas, Paul Arvin of Coatesville, Krista Swartzentruber of Jasper, Victoria Rust of Durham, N.C., J. Jordan Wade of Orlando, Fla., Hilary Patterson, Ross Wade, Jackson Wade, Amanda Wade, Anthony Wade, Olivia Wade and Caleb Wade, all of Washington; three great-grandchildren, Sydney and Addison Swartzentruber, both of Jasper, and Elaina Rust of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Helen Wade of Odon and Dorothy (Charles) O’Connor of Mooresville; and two brothers, James F. (Ruth Ann) Wade of Bloomington and Donald Wade of Odon.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Kenneth Graehler as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with a wake service at 4 p.m.
