James Peek

WASHINGTON — James B. Peek, 72, of Washington, passed away Wednesday at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 29, 1941, in Washington, to Bradford L. and Margaret Jean (Norris) Peek.

He was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School where he played on the varsity basketball team. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Washington Moose Lodge. He retired from Marsh Supermarket as a manager after 27 years of service.

He is survived by one son, Darren James Peek of Pekin, Ill.; four sisters, Carolyn Hubert, Melinda Croker, Barbara Wiggs and Janet Osborn, all of Lafayette; and one brother, Mark Peek of Lafayette.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bradford Peek; his mother, Margaret Jean Sperback; and his twin brother, John Peek.

There will be no services.

Arrangements are being made through Ed Lee Mortuary.
