---- — PATOKA — Wm. Dean Solliday, 57, passed away on Monday at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born on Feb. 24, 1956, in Washington, to William Jackson and Marilyn (Kirk) Solliday. He graduated from Washington High School in 1974. He attended the Christian Church in Washington. He moved to Patoka is 1982. He retired from Duke Energy in 2012 after 30 years in the mechanical maintenance department. He loved animals, camping, fishing, hunting and going to shooting matches.
Dean is survived by his wife whom he married Aug. 5, 1978, Beth (Williams) Solliday of Patoka; his mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Chick Lents; a brother, Dennis Solliday; two sisters, Denise Barnard and Debbie (Brant) Clark; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Willis and Dorothy Williams, all of Washington; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Jackson Solliday.
