LOOGOOTEE — Beverly Kay Summers, 49, died noon Friday at her home.
Born Aug. 21, 1964, in Washington, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Betty Lou (Lents) Summers.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and a 1982 graduate of Loogootee High School. Bev had worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane for 25 years. She was a very optimistic person and she enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sisters, Brenda and husband John Levrio of Lowell, and Bobbi and husband Mike Breeden of Loogootee; six nieces and nephews, Dana Drew of Demotte, Stacie Drew of Chicago, Ill., Skip Drew of Lowell, Susan Drew of Crown Point, Jay Breeden of Bloomington, and Will Breeden of Loogootee; and five great-nephews and three great-nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Betty Lou (Lents) Summers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
