---- — Mary Rosalie White, 80, of Washington, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday at Washington Nursing Center.
Born June 8, 1933, in Knox County, she was the daughter of William F. and Lillie May (Hicks) Ash.
A 1951 graduate of Wheatland High School, she was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Bethel North. She had been a cook at Lena Dunn Elementary School.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Ann and Frank Yancey and Angela Kaye and Mitchell Porter, all of Washington; grandsons, David Yancey, Jordan Yancey, and Holden Porter; great-grandson, Isaiah Mireles; a brother, Arthur Ash of Crawfordsville; a sister-in-law, Imogene Ash of Washington; 12 nieces and nephews; 27 great-nieces and great-nephews; 19 great-great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
Her husband, William Allen White, whom she married Jan. 3, 1953, died Feb. 26, 1994. One sister, Emogene Lents, and two brothers, Paul Ash and Cletus Ash are also deceased.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gill Funeral Home, with Bruce Mowery officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Bethel North.
